Elisa Da Silva has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and positions. Elisa currently serves as an Island Innovation Ambassador for Island Innovation, where they focus on driving sustainable change across islands and rural areas globally. Prior to this, they worked as the Director for ASEAN Political and Security Community at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste.
Elisa has also held various positions within the same ministry, including Civil Servant since 2001, Director of Protocol from 2014 to November 2016, and Acting Chief of Staff from February 2015 to November 2016. Elisa has also served as the Acting Director for Privileges and Immunities from January 2015 to November 2016.
Additionally, Elisa has worked at the Timor-Leste Embassy in Thailand as a Counsellor from December 2016 to January 2021, and at the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Thailand as the Deputy Permanent Representative to UN-ESCAP from December 2016 to December 2020.
Earlier in their career, they served as the First Secretary at the Embassy of Timor Leste in Canberra from August 2010 to November 2013, and as the Desk Officer for Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Timor-Leste from March 2008 to July 2010.
