Lead Technical Development - SENTRY at SENTRY

Colin Ragush has a diverse work experience in various industries. Colin is currently working at Island Water Technologies as the Lead Technical Development for SENTRY, a bioelectrical sensor that measures microbial activity. Colin joined the company in June 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Dalhousie University as a Research Associate from May 2016 to May 2018, where they focused on further development of SENTRY and its correlation to CBOD5. Before that, they were a PHD Candidate at Dalhousie University from September 2011 to April 2016, working on the Nunavut Wastewater Treatment Team project. Colin also completed their MaSc at Dalhousie University from January 2009 to April 2011, with a thesis on water quality monitoring. Their earliest work experience was with Glendale Industries as a Draftsman - Detailer from May 2007 to September 2007, where they were responsible for producing shop drawings and managing issued drawings.

Colin Ragush has an extensive education history in engineering. Colin obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Environmental Engineering from Dalhousie University, which they attended from 2005 to 2008. Colin then pursued further education at the same institution and completed a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree in Environmental Engineering from 2009 to 2011. Colin continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering from Dalhousie University, having studied there from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their various degrees, Colin Ragush is also a certified Professional Engineer (P. Eng) by Engineers Nova Scotia.
