Kailas Rao has worked in the business industry since 1980. In 1980, they were the President and Chairman of Computer Bay, where they owned 400 Personal Computer Franchising Stores located in 44 states in US and Canada with combined stores sales of about $500M and had about 4000 Employees. In 1992, they sold the business to a Wireless Company. From 1995 to 1996, they were the President and Chairman of Industar, where they acquired a Wireless license for Telephones for the State of Wisconsin from FCC for $80M and partnered with Hughes Electronics division of General Motors for $90M, as well as Uni-den and Kanamatsu of Japan and Alcatel of France. Since 2005, they have been the President and CEO of Isle of Dogs, where they manufacture and markets Pet Grooming liquid Products and Natural and Functional Treats for Dog and Pet Food for Dogs and Cats in US and 30 Countries.
Kailas Rao obtained their Ph.D in Business from University of Oklahoma in 1974, followed by an MBA from Sam Houston State University, Texas in 1970. Prior to that, they obtained their Ph.D in Business from University of Oklahoma, with a focus in Finance, Accounting and Marketing.
