Michelle Love

Michelle Love currently serves as the Service Director for Highways and Community Protection at Isle of Wight Council since February 2024. Prior to this role, Michelle Love worked at Portsmouth City Council, starting as a Safer Routes to School Officer and progressing to positions such as Team Manager for Road Safety and Sustainable Travel, PFI Network Coordinator, and Safer Travel Manager. Responsibilities included coordinating road and street works, monitoring service company performance, and providing expertise to development control officers and project managers. Michelle Love was recognized for leadership by winning the APSE Best Service Team for Highways Maintenance in 2014. A graduate of the University of Staffordshire, Michelle Love holds a BA in Geography and Development Studies and also completed A Levels in Geography, Economics, and French at Stratton Upper School.
