Matiss Ozols

Matiss Ozols is an experienced bioinformatician and software engineer currently working at Isomorphic Labs as a Software Engineer in Bioinformatics since September 2025. At the Wellcome Sanger Institute, Matiss holds the position of Principal Bioinformatician, leading interdisciplinary projects focused on single-cell biology and integration of multi-omics data. Matiss has contributed to various research initiatives, including collaborations at the University of Cambridge and serving as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Educationally, Matiss earned a Ph.D. in Data Science and Bioinformatics from The University of Manchester and holds an Engineer's Degree in Medical Engineering from the University of Bradford.
