Steven Rooney Ceng Mweldi

Steven Rooney CEng MWeldI has extensive experience in welding and quality engineering. Steven has worked at various companies in different roles, including Welding & Quality Consultant and Business Owner/Director at S3 Fusion UK Ltd, Quality Lead Auditor at ISOQAR, Welding Engineer at Babcock International Group, and Welding Engineer at Smulders Projects. Steven also worked at Heerema Fabrication Group as a Welding & Quality Engineer, Welding Engineer, Welding Inspector, and Welder. Throughout their career, Steven has been involved in implementing innovative welding solutions, conducting conformity assessments and management system audits, and providing technical support for construction projects. Steven has a strong background in quality management systems, ISO standards, and welding processes.

Steven Rooney CEng MWeldI has a strong educational background in engineering and project management. Steven obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project Management from Teesside University in 2011. Prior to that, in 2008, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Before pursuing higher education, Steven earned a BTech Higher National Diploma (HND) in Manufacturing Engineering from Teesside University in 2004. Steven started their education in fabrication and welding, completing a BTech Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) from Hartlepool College of Further Education in 2001. Additionally, Steven has acquired several certifications throughout their career, including being a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council in 2014 and a Professional Member (MWeldI) of The Welding Institute (TWI) in 2013.
