Ondrej Harkut

Ondrej Harkut is an accomplished professional in the field of radiation protection, currently serving as the Director and Head of Radiation Protection Physics at ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE since July 2019. In this role, Ondrej leads the radiation protection strategy and team, emphasizing physics-based simulations, measurement methods, radiation monitoring, and data analysis. Prior to this position, Ondrej held various roles in radiation safety operations, including Senior Manager and Deputy Head of Safety & Radiation Protection, as well as Manager and Radiation Protection Physicist, focusing on areas such as radiation transport simulations and shielding optimization. Ondrej began a career in radiation protection at ÚJV Řež, a. s. as a Radiation Protection Officer and Cyclotron Operator. Ondrej is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physics at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, building on previous studies in Experimental Physics and Biomedical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and VSB - Technical University of Ostrava.
