Alexander Petrenko has extensive experience in academia and software engineering, currently serving as Co-Chair of the SYRCoSE: Spring Young Researchers Colloquium on Software Engineering since 2007 and holding the position of Co-chair at the MBT Workshop since its inception in 2004. In addition to these roles, Alexander Petrenko has been a Professor at Moscow State University since 1985, is the Head of the Software Engineering Department at ISP RAS since 1994, and has held a professorship in the System Programming Chair at Moscow State University since 2004. Previous experience includes partnerships at ISTOK-SOYUZ (2008-2009), membership in The Linux Foundation (2007-2009), and contributions as an invited lecturer for IFIP TC2 in 2003. Alexander Petrenko began a research career at KIAM RAS and Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics from 1974 to 1994. Education was completed at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Machinery with a degree in Applied Mathematics in 1974.
