Liran Shimshi

Liran Shimshi's work experience begins in 1996 as a Researcher at SNRC and continues with roles such as Scientific consultant at Liran Shimshi, and Co-Founder and Chief Physicist at Vibe-Systems. From 2007 to 2009, Liran worked as a Senior Researcher and Team Leader at Samsung Telecommunication Research Israel (STRI). Liran then joined PMO in 2009, where they held a role in R&D and project management until 2012. After that, Liran worked at IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries, starting as R&D Manager and Project Director and eventually becoming the Head of Image Processing and Electro-Optics Department. Currently, Liran holds the position of CTO and R&D Manager in the Engineering and Systems Division at IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries, leading the R&D of a novel technology for an innovative electro-optical laser system.

Liran Shimshi holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry + Physics from Tel Aviv University, which was obtained from 1993 to 1997. Later, from 2000 to 2002, Liran pursued an M.Sc. in Physics at the Weizmann Institute of Science. This was followed by a Ph.D. in Physics from the same institute, completed between 2002 and 2007. Liran also participated in a Business Administration Enrichment Program at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2004 to 2005. Finally, Liran received a Science Teaching Certificate in Science Teaching from the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2006 to 2009.
