Samir Khleif

Samir Khleif is a Venture Advisor at Israel Biotech Fund. Dr. Khleif is a pioneer, leading researcher, and Key Opinion Leader in the field of immunotherapy.

He is a Biomedical Scholar and Professor of Oncology at Georgetown University where he leads the development of a new innovative, high-impact immune-oncology program to continue his scientific contribution and translate many of his discoveries into high-impact clinical trials.

Dr. Khleif serves on many national and international committees driving the immune-oncology field and he is a scientific advisor for more than 15 immune-oncology companies.

During his tenure at the National Cancer Institute where he served as the Chief of the Cancer Vaccine Section, he established one of the first immune therapy and cancer vaccine programs in the field. Dr. Khleif leads an international program to develop cancer care programs in low-income countries.

Amongst others, Dr. Khleif is the recipient of many national and international awards including the NCI’s Director Golden Star, the NIH Award for Merit, Georgia Distinguished Cancer Scientist and Clinician.
