Evgeniy Tkalya

Evgeniy Tkalya is a seasoned professional in the field of polymer chemistry and materials science with extensive experience in developing biodegradable polymer coatings and composite materials. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist and Project Manager at ICL Group since November 2014, Tkalya leads projects focused on barrier performance, nutrient release, and biodegradation testing, while also overseeing project plans, budgets, and guiding teams. Previous roles include working as a Scientist and Project Leader for Automotive at SABIC, where work involved developing glass fibers-polymer composite materials, and a PhD student at Eindhoven University of Technology, focusing on graphene-based polymer nanocomposites. Tkalya's academic background includes a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Master's degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technology.
