Jens Köster

Jens Köster has extensive experience in the field of data engineering and development. Jens began their career in 1995 as a Software Developer for Hogia Communications. In 2000, they became a Software Development Consultant for Navigamus Konsult, where they were responsible for developing the back end for migrating phone numbers between operators. In 2001, they worked as a Software Development Consultant for Technology Nexus. From 2002 to 2014, they worked for HOGIA PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEMS AKTIEBOLAG in various roles, including Solution and Integration Architect, Solution Architect, and Software Developer and Systems Architect. From 2014 to 2019, they were a MSSQL and Snowflake DBA/DW Architect for Verisure. Currently, they are a Data Engineer for Issuu, where they work with Bigquery, dbt, Fivetran, git, Jenkins, and other tools.

Jens Köster has a varied educational background. In 2021 they took an Introduction to Machine Learning course at Kristianstad University. In 2019 they completed a Bitcoin and Blockchain with Python course at University West and a Discrete Mathematics course at Uppsala University. In 2018 they completed a Statistical Methods using R course at Karolinska Institutet. In 1993-1994 they completed a Gymnasieingenjör program at Vasa Vuxengymnasium, which included C++, assembler, networks, and digital engineering. In 1992-1993 they completed a Technical and Scientific Communication program at Vasa Vuxengymnasium. In 1991 they completed a Förstesjukvårdare/Medic program at Militärtjänstgöring/Airforce services F7.
