Benoît Detry began their professional career in 2002 as a Student Job with ING. In 2004, they took on a Student Job - Laboratory Technician role at the Dr J. Collard Laboratory. In 2007, they became a PhD Researcher (F.R.S.-FNRS Télévie) - Experimental cancerology at the Laboratory of Tumor and Development Biology, GIGA-Research, University of Liège. In 2013, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher (F.R.S.-FNRS) - Pneumology at the same laboratory. In 2014, they held both the role of Postdoctoral Researcher and Senior Engineer R&D with iSTAR Medical, as well as the role of Head of Operations with the same company.
Benoît Detry completed their General secondary instruction at Collège Royal Marie-Thérèse - Herve from 1995 to 2001. Benoît then earned a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biology from HEMES Saint Laurent Sup' from 2001 to 2004. Benoît continued their education at the University of Liège, where they obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from 2004 to 2007 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2007 to 2013.
