Mary Prettyman

Mary Prettyman has a diverse work experience spanning over several prestigious companies in the aviation industry. Mary started their career at McDonnell Douglas in 1988 as an Engineer Specialist and then moved to Fokker Aircraft in 1994, where they worked in Marketing. In 1996, they joined Airbus as a Marketing Director. At Airbus, Mary held various roles, including Sales Director, Vice President Marketing for North America, and VP Strategic Marketing for the Americas. In 2000, they transitioned to Pratt & Whitney, where they served as VP Sales Americas and later as VP Sales for the West Asia & Oceania region. Currently, Mary is the Head of Marketing at Pratt & Whitney. Mary has also been involved in the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT), holding positions such as Director, Secretary, Vice President, and currently, President.

Mary Prettyman attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a BS degree in Aeronautics/Astronautics. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Civil Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 1986 to 1987.

For more than 40 years, the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) has been dedicated to fostering and promoting interest and educational opportunities in commercial aviation, while also providing a forum for networking among those involved in the industry. A unique, non-profit, international association, ISTAT members are involved in operating, manufacturing, maintaining, selling, purchasing, financing, leasing, appraising, insuring or otherwise engaging in activities in the commercial aviation industry. There is no other association that brings all of these industry segments together for the betterment of the industry and its members.
