Dhamayanthy Parameswaran CEng MIChemE has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. They began their career as a Teacher at Boost Education from 2011 to 2013. In 2014, they had two internships, one as a Research Scientist in R&D downstream processing at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies and another as a Summer Intern at MedImmune, where they worked on nanofiltration optimization.
From 2016 to 2021, Dhamayanthy worked at Eli Lilly and Company as a Senior Bioprocess Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for delivering a continuous supply of drug substance batches, technology transfer, and scale-up of new assets. They received awards for addressing equipment challenges and implementing lean manufacturing practices.
In 2021, Dhamayanthy joined Virocell Biologics as a Senior Manufacturing Scientist. They led equipment qualification and process validation activities, supported technology transfer, and trained and developed manufacturing officers.
In 2022, they moved to GSK as an External Manufacturing Investigator (Biopharmaceuticals Manager) - CGT. In this position, they acted as a global center point contact for CDMO manufacturing operations, provided technical CMC oversight, and managed continuous supply and delivery of batches.
Currently, Dhamayanthy is working at Istesso as a CMC Project Manager, starting in June 2023.
Dhamayanthy Parameswaran CEng MIChemE completed an Engineer's Degree in Biochemical Engineering with Bioprocess Management at UCL from 2011 to 2016. They obtained additional certifications including a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from The Knowledge Academy in June 2023 and May 2023, respectively. They also attained Chartered Chemical Engineer status from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in December 2021. In addition, they acquired PRINCE2® 6th Edition Foundation and PRINCE2® 6th Edition Practitioner certifications in Project Management from PeopleCert in May 2023. Furthermore, they completed a Business Foundations Specialisation from Wharton Online, although specific dates of completion were not provided.
