Salvatore Stramondo is a distinguished professional in the field of geophysics and earthquake research, currently serving as the Head of the Earthquake Department and Research Director at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia since January 2010. Stramondo holds the position of Executive Director at the National Earthquake Observatory and has been a Senior Researcher in the same institution. Additionally, since January 2024, Stramondo has been a Contract Professor at Sapienza Università di Roma, specializing in Earth Observation Data Analysis within the Department of Informatics, Automatics and Management Engineering. Stramondo obtained a Dottorato di Ricerca from 2003 to 2007 and earned a degree in Ingegneria, with a focus on electrical and electronic engineering, from Sapienza Università di Roma between 1989 and 1996.
