Matthew Hegarty has a diverse background in engineering, with experience in both the aerospace and manufacturing industries.
Matthew started their career as a Quality Assurance Summer Intern at Hunting Innova Electronics in 2011, where they gained valuable experience in quality assurance processes.
In 2012, Hegarty worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at HuntingInnova, further expanding their knowledge and skills in the manufacturing field.
Matthew then joined Boeing in 2013 as a Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for writing test procedures and performing test runs on the B1 Bomber program. Matthew also worked as a contractor to Jeppesen, a Boeing company, where they created and maintained requirements for a Next Generation Flight Planning software.
In 2016, Hegarty was promoted to the role of Systems Engineer II at Boeing, where they co-led the verification effort for a program phase. Matthew audited subsystem specifications and assisted in requirements management.
In 2018, Hegarty took on the role of Systems Engineer III - Technical Advisor at Boeing, where they served as an Attitude Control Subsystem Systems Engineer on the Satellite Platform team. Matthew maintained and monitored satellite operations for the USAF, provided on-call support for satellite malfunctions, and assisted in the development of critical specifications.
Most recently, Hegarty joined ISYS Technologies in 2020 as a Test Engineer.
Throughout their career, Hegarty has demonstrated expertise in system design, verification, test procedures, and requirements management. Matthew has also consistently shown a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and mission execution.
Matthew Hegarty attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
