Austin West

Austin West has been working in the IT field since 1998. Austin began their career as a Long-Haul/Backbone Communications Manager and Network Engineer for the United States Air Force. During this time, they managed 25 techs and was responsible for 1,200+ high-speed data-links and $30M in communications equipment. Austin was also the Director of Communications during a manning shortfall and led a 5-man team responsible for Telecommunications Inside & Outside Plant data circuits.

In 2008, Austin West moved to General Dynamics Information Technology as a Senior IT Project Manager. Austin was responsible for leading, monitoring, controlling and approving costs, schedules, performance, and risk mitigation strategies. Austin also managed, directed, and coordinated complex projects.

In 2009, Austin West joined Worldwide Information Network Systems as an IT Program Manager. That same year, they also founded and became the Managing Member of IT Veterans, LLC, a full-service IT Consulting and Solutions provider for small, medium and enterprise level organizations.

In 2020, Austin West became the Managing Member of Vartender: Whiskey Concierge.

Austin West has a Bachelor of Science in Business - Information Technology Management from Western Governors University and an Associate of Science in Electronics Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
