Jan Martinovič

Jan Martinovič has a diverse work experience in the field of computer science and research. Jan worked at IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center as a Senior Researcher from August 2011 to April 2015. Jan then became the Head of Research Program: IT for Disaster and Traffic Management from May 2015 to December 2016. Later on, they served as the Head of Advanced Data Analysis and Simulations Lab starting from January 2017. Apart from this, Jan also took on various roles in different projects including being a Coordinator for EXA4MIND, IT4I Team Leader for Ligate Project, Innovation Manager for EVEREST Project, Project Board Member for IO-SEA Project, and Co-design Manager for ACROSS Project. Jan also worked as a Coordinator for LEXIS Project from January 2019 to February 2022. Before joining IT4Innovations, Jan was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at VSB Technical University of Ostrava from September 2005 to December 2017.

Jan Martinovič earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava between 2000 and 2005. Jan then completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the same university from 2004 to 2008.
