Andréas Elgaard

Andréas Elgaard is the current President & CEO at ITAB Group. Prior to this, they worked at Inter IKEA Group from January 2010 to July 2019, where they held the title of Global Programme Manager IKEA Product Information Mangement/SVP. In this role, they were responsible for leading IKEA's digital transformation throughout the value chain, including retail, relating to the data about and around IKEA’s products and services. This entailed business re-engineering of all processes and solutions connected to how IKEA capture and create product data, how to distribute the data and how suppliers, co-workers, customers and 3rd party can interact in a collaborative and co-creating way. The ambition was/is to “connect business and people in real time through a digital ecosystem with the IKEA range at its heart”. Andréas's scope included new data and information management, MDM, PIM, PLM, SCM, collaboration capabilities, integration capabilities, architecture frameworks and Big data preconditions. (150 000+ coworkers, 1000+ suppliers, 250+ legacy systems).

In addition, they were accountable for leading the development of IKEA's Planning Experience for consumers, the IPEX Programme, with strong focus on digital planning tools for all consumers and businesses in IKEA.

In 2000, Andréas Elgaard completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Construction Management / Civil Engineering / Technology Management at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. Andréas then went on to complete the Saint-Gobain internal business administration and executive development programme in business administration, negotiation, personal development, and group dynamics at Saint-Gobain (INSEAD).
