John T. Whitty, Jr. has had a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. John T. started their career as a Bridge Engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation in 1985. John T. then moved on to Dominion Virginia Power, where they worked as a Structural Engineer providing support to nuclear and fossil fuel facilities. In 1994, they joined Reynolds Metals Company as part of their Corporate Engineering group, where they were involved in various projects, both small and large in scale. In 1999, they joined Industrial TurnAround Corporation (ITAC) as the CSA Department Manager, and later took on the role of Director of Specialty Services - Principal. In 2017, they became the Vice President of Engineering and Specialty Services at Industrial Turnaround Corporation. John T. has continued to hold this position at ITAC, recently serving as the Vice President of Engineering and Projects.
John T. Whitty, Jr. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute between the years 1981 and 1985. John T. also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia and 14 other states, although the details of when and where they obtained this certification are unavailable.
