Melanie Punton

Melanie Punton is a Principal Consultant at Itad with experience in theory-based evaluation and complexity approaches. At Itad, Melanie has held several roles, including Head of Knowledge Management, overseeing the Knowledge Hub and supporting evaluations with innovative qualitative and mixed-methods methods. Prior experience includes a Research Officer role at the Department for International Development, focusing on governance and social development, and a Research Assistant position at the Institute of Development Studies, contributing to studies on global poverty. Additional roles include leadership positions in various NGOs, showcasing a strong background in project management and community engagement. Melanie holds a Master of Arts in Poverty and Development from the Institute of Development Studies and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from Durham University.
