Pedro Hurtado

Pedro Hurtado has extensive experience in the field of human resources, with a focus on compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems. Pedro has held various roles in different companies, including Itaú USA, where they are currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources Operations. In this role, they oversee the operations of the HR department, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, compensation, and reporting. Prior to Itaú USA, Pedro served as the Director of Compensation and HRIS at Spirit Airlines, where they designed and implemented reward systems, job grading systems, salary bands, and managed the annual merit review and bonus accrual/calculation. Pedro also worked as an HR Manager at SunPower Corporation, where they managed administration, compensation and benefits, labor relations, reporting, and development in the EMEA region. Additionally, Pedro has experience as an Organization, Compensation, and Benefits Manager at Zed, a Human Resources Director USA for Zed, a Compensation & Benefits Specialist at Stryker, an Organization, Compensation & Benefits Specialist at Prosegur, and a Recruitment Specialist at Repsol YPF. Pedro also held a role as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist at Endesa and started their career as a Recruitment Trainee at Correos.

Pedro Hurtado attended Cornell University in 2018, where they studied HR Strategy: Creating Competitive Advantage through People. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Human Resources - Compensation & Benefits from Centro de Estudios Garrigues between 2001 and 2002. Pedro's education journey began at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus on HR from 1996 to 2001.
