Ricardo Careaga is an experienced Engineering Project Lead at Itaipu Binacional since January 2015. Previous roles include EDF Climate Corps Fellow at the American Red Cross, where coordination of PV systems and storage for shelters in Puerto Rico aimed to enhance resilience during crises. Ricardo also served as a Maintenance Planner at Anheuser-Busch InBev and as Supervisor de operaciones at ECIE S.R.L. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Energy Systems from Northeastern University, a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Asuncion. Additional qualifications include specializations in Renewable Energies and water treatment engineering, as well as certifications in IELTS and social entrepreneurship.
