Samantha Parker

Samantha Parker is a seasoned professional in the field of rare diseases, currently serving as the Patient Advocacy and Communication Lead for Rare Diseases Europe at Italfarmaco since January 2024. In addition, Parker holds the position of Vice Chair for the International Rare Disease Research Consortium (IRDiRC) since January 2022. Previously, Parker was the Chief Patient Access Officer at InnoSkel and a Senior Vice President and Chief Patient Access Officer at LYSOGENE, where responsibilities included pricing strategy, patient recruitment, and engagement with key opinion leaders. Parker's extensive experience in the rare disease sector is further demonstrated through leadership roles at Orphan Europe (Recordati), where contributions included establishing the Recordati Rare Diseases Foundation and overseeing international marketing for orphan drugs. Parker began their career in product management at Wyeth and Altana and holds an MBA in Life Sciences from the Open University Business School.
