Luigi Amati

Luigi Amati has an extensive work experience in the venture capital and angel investing fields. Luigi began their career in 1993 as the Founder of META. From 2007 to 2012, they were the Co-founder of Italian Angels for Growth and the Chairman of Business Angels Europe. In 2011, they joined Lazio Innova as a Member of the Investment Committee, and in 2013 they were appointed as an Expert for Crowdfunding and Risk Finance for the European Commission. In 2015, they became a Board Member of Associazione IBAN. From 2009 to 2019, they were the Vice President of EBAN - The European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds, and other Early Stage Market. In 2019, they were appointed as the Chairman of Eureka! Venture SGR and a Board Member of Aper Ventures. Most recently in 2020, they became the Founder of Xplorer Fund S.A. ASI.

Luigi Amati obtained their MSc, DIC in Computational Mechanics from Imperial College London in 1991. Luigi had previously obtained their Dottore in Ingegneria in Structural Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma in 1987.
