Alastair Sholl has extensive work experience in the chemical industry. Alastair started their career as a Research Chemist at FMC Corporation in 1993 and was later promoted to the role of Senior Chemist. In 2000, they joined Great Lakes Chemical Corporation as a Regulatory Affairs Manager. After six years, Alastair moved to BWA Water Additives, where they initially served as a Regulatory Affairs Director and later became the VP of Technology & Regulatory Affairs. In 2019, they joined Italmatch Chemicals Spa as the Global Regulatory & Innovation Project Management VP.
Alastair Sholl completed their education at different institutions over the years. In 1989, they attended the University of Liverpool, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of Design & synthesis of cation selective chromoionophores. Sholl continued their education that same year at the University of Birmingham, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry. Prior to these university studies, they attended Loughborough Grammar School from 1979 to 1986, though no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
