Daniel Carmona Moreno has a strong background in the banking industry with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Daniel started their career at Caixa Catalunya and held different positions within the bank, including branch manager and training manager. In 2007, they joined CORPBANCA, where they worked as a corporate banking executive and then as a senior banker, responsible for managing the bank's Spanish office and client portfolio. Daniel later joined Banco Itaú CorpBanca as a country head and senior banker, focusing on energy and infrastructure financing projects for companies based in Spain. Currently, they are working at Itaú Chile as the Head of Restructuring and Special Situations in the Wholesale Risk department, managing a team and overseeing a loan portfolio of defaulted loans and clients in special situations. Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in originated, structuring, and executing credit facilities, structured finance, and project finance.

Daniel Carmona Moreno has a diverse education history. Daniel started with a degree in Tourism from Universitat de Girona from 1989 to 1992. Daniel then pursued further education in the field of finance, completing a postgraduate course in Finance from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 1996. Daniel continued their studies at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, earning a Diploma in Business Studies from 1997 to 2003. In 2007 to 2008, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management from IEDE Chile. Daniel then completed a Diploma in Structured Finance and Risk Capital from IE Business School from 2011 to 2012. Their education journey concluded with a Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance, from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from 2013 to 2015.
