Venugopal Vijayakrishnan

Venugopal Vijayakrishnan has extensive work experience in the field of research and development in the consumer goods industry. From 1996 to 2017, they worked at Unilever, holding various roles such as Global R&D Design Director, Global R&D Director, R&D Director for Skin in South East Asia and Australasia, Senior Product Development Manager, and Regional Senior R&D Manager for Skin in South East Asia. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist and Technical Project Leader at Unilever for six years. In 2017, they joined ITC Limited as the Head of R&D for Skin Cleansing, Health, and Hygiene, and later became the Chief Scientist and Head of Product Development, Packaging, Quality, and R&D for Personal Care.

Venugopal Vijayakrishnan completed their PhD in Solid State Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1988 to 1994. Venugopal then pursued a post-doctoral position in Materials Chemistry at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens) from 1994 to 1995. Venugopal further conducted research as a post-doctoral fellow in Materials Science at the Max-Planck Institut fur Kohlenforschung in 1995-1996.
