Jorunn Aarskog has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jorunn started their career at Statoil in 1992 as a Product Manager, where they were responsible for marketing analysis, campaigns, and establishing CRM strategies. In 1999, they moved on to McCann Norway as an Account Director, where they planned and ran advertising campaigns and developed brand strategies. From 2007 to 2008, Jorunn worked at NetCom as a Marketing Manager B2B, overseeing web portal content, running marketing activities, and developing mobile campaigns. Jorunn then joined Itera Gazette in 2009 as a Senior Account Director, focusing on brand and communication strategies. In 2012, they briefly worked at Bates UNITED as an Account Director, specializing in communication strategies and campaign development. Currently, Jorunn works at Itera - MAKE A DIFFERENCE as a Servicedesigner and Interaction Designer, leveraging their skills in obtaining user insights, generating concepts, prototyping, and user testing solutions. Jorunn is experienced in using visualizations and strategic drawings in work meetings and workshops, and is familiar with methods and tools from Service Design, Design Thinking, and Lean.

Jorunn Aarskog began their education journey by completing a 30-credit course in Interaction Design and Usability at Høyskolen i Volda from 2019 to 2020. In 1987, they enrolled in BI Norwegian School of Management and pursued a Master's degree in Business and Marketing, however, the degree name is not specified. Jorunn further expanded their knowledge in 1984-1985 at Université Paris-Sorbonne, studying French, architecture, and literature. Earlier, from 1980 to 1984, Jorunn attended Sandane videregåande, focusing on language studies such as English, French, and German. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in the Service Design At-One method from Norsk Designråd in October 2012.
