Alex Schmidt has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Software Dev Eng II at Iteris, Inc. Since joining the company in June 2020, they have contributed to software development projects.

Alex Schmidt obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tulane University, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Later, they pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in the same field of study from Tulane University, completing their studies in 1997.
