Cory Young

Cory Young is an accomplished academic serving as the Director of the Honors Program at Ithaca College since March 2020, where responsibilities include scheduling and staffing interdisciplinary courses. Previously, Young advised 250 freshmen as a Faculty Associate Freshman Adviser from January 2016 to May 2017, focusing on supporting academic and personal development, particularly for first-generation students. Additionally, Young held the position of Associate Professor and Chair of the Graduate Program from August 2006 to August 2015, engaging in administration, curriculum development, and professional development initiatives, alongside teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Communication Management and related fields. Young's educational background includes a PhD in Organizational and Intercultural Communication from Bowling Green State University, an MSocSci in Cultural Studies from the University of Birmingham, and multiple degrees from Bowling Green State University.
