Luvelle Brown is a trustee at Ithaca College. Prior to this, they worked as a principal at Woodbrook Elementary School and Henrico County Public Schools, where they oversaw major renovation projects. Luvelle also worked as an assistant principal at Charlottesville City Schools and Louisa County Public Schools. Brown began their career as a teacher at Fluvanna County Public Schools.
Brown began their educational career at the University of Virginia, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Luvelle then went on to earn a Master of Teaching from the same institution. After several years of teaching, Brown decided to return to school to pursue a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Virginia. Upon completion of their Ed.D., Brown became an Education Specialist at the university.
