Johan Kangasniemi

Johan Kangasniemi has a strong background in data and analytics, with experience in various technical roles. Johan is currently the Data and Analytics Lead at Ithaca Energy since April 2023. Prior to this, Johan worked as the Chief Technical Officer at Agile Knowledge Management Ltd, Applied Health Informatics Limited, and Agile Industrial Hygiene Software Limited, starting in May 2021. Johan also worked at Atos as a Solutions Architect from October 2022 to April 2023, where they specialized in modern data architectures and platforms, providing direction and strategic advice on data strategy and roadmaps. Before that, Johan held multiple roles at CGA by NielsenIQ from January 2021 to September 2022, including Head of Solutions, Solutions Architect, Senior Data Engineer, and Technical Business Analyst. Their earlier experience includes positions at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council as a Data Management Officer and Business Intelligence Officer, managing data warehouses, providing reporting, and offering key intelligence for evidence-based decision making. Johan also served as the Managing Director at Accurate Advisory Ltd and held roles at Aberdeen University Students' Association as an Evening Building Supervisor, Archery Club Captain, and Chair of the Students' Association Council.

Johan Kangasniemi received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Aberdeen in 2013. Johan then pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Robert Gordon University from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from UWC Adriatic between 2005 and 2007. Johan Kangasniemi also holds certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate from Microsoft, as well as an Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks.
