Chris Kirby is the founder of Ithaca Hummus. Prior to that, they worked as an operations analyst intern at Veggie Grill from May 2013 to November 2013. Chris was responsible for gathering data on operations activities, recipe yields, portion variances, and product waste. Chris used operational data and historical sales mix to build a forecasting model predicting daily par levels. Chris also worked remotely updating and sending weekly par levels worksheets to each restaurant. Before working at Veggie Grill, Chris Kirby was an internal auditor at Towne Park from September 2011 to January 2013. Chris reconciled credit and cash accounts daily for nine parking garages, car lots, and valet stands in Harbor East. Chris also developed standards to monitor cashier and valet cash handling procedures to prevent theft. Chris closed the books at the end of every month. Chris Kirby was also a sous chef at Mulberry Wine Bar from January 2008 to August 2009.

Chris Kirby began their educational career by studying hospitality management at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. Chris then went on to earn an associate's degree in culinary arts/chef training from Johnson & Wales University.
