Torsten Parth has a diverse work experience across various companies and industries. Torsten started their career as a Student Intern at Röder Präzision in 2007. In 2012, they gained research experience as a Research Intern at MTU Aero Engines, where they conducted residual stress analyses and presented measurement results.
Torsten then joined Outotec in 2013 as an Engineer Intern, before moving to Ottobock in 2017. At Ottobock, Torsten worked as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on developing key technologies and innovative products in the field of Medical Care & Bionics. Torsten later became a Technical Project Lead Engineering, managing a cross-company project for the development of a high-tech product in the field of high-end prosthetics.
In 2020, Torsten joined iThera Medical GmbH as an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer. Torsten was responsible for leading all mechanical development activities and product design for the preclinical product family. Torsten also became the Product Owner and Manager of the preclinical imaging system inVision. Recently, they were promoted to Senior R&D Mechanical Design Engineer, overseeing the entire mechanical engineering division and leading the hardware redesign of the clinical system.
Throughout their career, Torsten has shown proficiency in project management, ideation workshops, and collaboration with global partners. Torsten'sexpertise lies in mechanical design, hardware development, and product innovation.
Torsten Parth has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Torsten completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in the years 2009 to 2013. Torsten then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing it in the year 2014.
From 2013 to 2014, Torsten Parth also studied at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Mechanical Engineering. Later, they attended the University of Stuttgart, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2016.
