Marcus Newborough

Marcus Newborough has been a driving force in the energy sector for over two decades. Marcus has held positions at two different universities, fostering energy research and establishing partnerships in the industry. Their work has focused on investigating pathways to a lower-carbon energy system, with a particular focus on demand side solutions in buildings, micro-generation, DSM and hydrogen energy systems.

In their current role as Development Director at ITM Power, Marcus is responsible for leading the company's technical development team and overseeing the commercialisation of its products. Marcus is also a member of the UK Gas Industry Research Board and sits on the board of the UK's Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association.

Marcus Newborough is a highly respected figure in the energy sector, with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field. Marcus is a leading voice in the push for a cleaner, more sustainable energy system, and their work is helping to shape the future of the industry.

Marcus Newborough has a PhD in heat transfer and energy utilisation from Cranfield University. Marcus also has an MSc in energy conservation and the environment from the same school.
