Sophie West

Sophie West is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Strategic Communications at ITN since February 2022, where previous roles included Acting Deputy Communications Director and Head of Press and Public Affairs. Prior to ITN, Sophie worked at the BBC from April 2010 to February 2022, holding various positions such as Communications Manager for the BBC Daytime and Programmes Desk, Media Relations Manager in the Corporate Press Office, and Publicist for BBC Radio 4, among others. Sophie's career began as a Senior Research Assistant at The Open University/BBC World Service. Sophie holds a BA in History from The University of Sheffield, completed from 2005 to 2008, and has a background in education from La Swap Sixth Form Consortium and Parliament Hill School.
