Anthony Japour has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies.
In 1996, they started working at Abbott Laboratories as the Global Director of Marketed Product Development and Global Medical Affairs. Anthony played a key role in driving Phase I-IV antiviral drug development in HIV/AIDS, leading to adult and pediatric approvals for a blockbuster HIV therapeutic. Anthony also managed multiple Medical Directors and Marketed Product Development Programs in various franchises.
In 2002, while pursuing a high-level public service role for the US government, Anthony created Anthony Japour & Associates, Medical and Scientific Consulting, Inc. Anthony provided services to private, public, and governmental organizations on strategic planning, public health policy, education, and research. In 2007, they established Japour Enterprises, LLC, offering business solutions including commercial development, coaching, and board of directors activities.
From 2012 to 2016, Anthony worked as a Concierge Internal Medicine Physician and Director of the Hepatitis C Program at EliteHealth.
In 2016, they joined ICON plc as a Medical Director. Anthony served as a Medical Monitor for Phase I-IV clinical research studies in various medical specialties and provided consultation on protocol design and clinical development plans. Anthony also led a team to re-engineer the clinical research function after poor study results led to a significant stock drop.
In 2019, Anthony became an Independent Director on the Board of Directors for Cocrystal Pharma, Inc. Anthony also served as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors for OPKO Health, Inc., but departed the board due to potential conflict of interest with their CEO role for AdvancedDx Biological Laboratories, USA.
In 2020, Anthony took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at AdvancedDx Biological Laboratories, USA. Anthony was recruited amid the COVID-19 pandemic to support the commercialization efforts of bringing COVID-19 molecular diagnostic products to the USA from the EU. Anthony established the organizational structure, core team, and digital presence to achieve potential $1.4M/month revenues within 120 days.
Anthony also served as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors for Sanaby Health Acquisition Corporation I from 2021 to 2022. Anthony was also an Advisor at Diviner in 2021.
Currently, Anthony Japour is the Chief Executive Officer of iTOLERANCE, Inc. since June 2021.
Anthony Japour has a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Infectious Diseases from Harvard Medical School. Anthony also has a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Michigan. Anthony Japour has obtained certifications including a Certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Diplomate in Internal Medicine (lifetime) and Infectious Diseases. Anthony is also licensed to practice medicine in Florida.
