Yann Mulonda has worked in a variety of roles over the past few years. In 2020, they began working as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and Tech & Team Lead at ICF. In this role, they acted as a Subject Matter Expert for the technologies supported by the team and built automation to reduce workload for routine tasks. Yann also worked with Architects for complex issues and provided support, critical issue remediation, and incident response for core infrastructure services.

Prior to this, in 2019, Yann worked as Chief Information Officer at Itot Africa. In 2018, they worked as Chief Technology Officer at SAS - Solar Africa Solution, where they were responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the organization and providing leadership to department heads.

In 2019, Yann also worked as a Full-Stack Software Developer and Dev & Cloud Team at the University of St. Thomas. In this role, they automated Cloud formation stacks deployment with Lambda functions on AWS, setup Code pipeline, worked on IoT Pilot projects with Amazon Lex, and built and redesigned web in house app development.

In 2017, Yann worked as a Software Engineer at CloudRepo. In this role, they created and deployed test Maven, SBT, Gradle, and Leiningen Project to CloudRepo for client error duplication and prevention, and created a web-based tool for CloudRepo client reports management and billing process.

Finally, in 2016, Yann worked as a DevOps Engineer Intern at Endicia. In this role, they worked on projects that implemented DevOps on the company workflow, configured firewall and network configuration, and set up systems for version release control.

Yann Mulonda has a diverse educational background. Yann attended the National Institute of Information Technology from 2010 to 2012 and earned an Associate's degree in Computer Networking & Systems Administration. Yann then attended the University of Jamestown from 2013 to 2017 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Sciences & Information Technology. Most recently, they attended the University of St. Thomas from 2018 to 2021 and earned a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering & Artificial Intelligence. In addition to their educational background, Yann Mulonda has obtained several certifications, including a 2021-22 Volunteer Badge from Microsoft in April 2022, a System Administration and Networking certification from NIIT Limited in October 2012, and an MCSA: Windows certification from Microsoft.
