Damion Purfey

Damion Purfey serves as the Director of Global Inclusion and Diversity at Itron, Inc., having joined the company in February 2021 as its first leader in this capacity. Purfey has been pivotal in developing and implementing a strategic plan for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) that aligns with the company's goals. Prior to Itron, Purfey held similar leadership roles at Forcepoint and Johnson Controls, where responsibilities included creating human-centric DEI strategies and driving global initiatives. Additionally, earlier experience at PwC and Michael Baker Corporation involved managing strategic projects and analytics for diverse industries. Damion Purfey holds an MBA in Management from Ashland University, an MS in Environmental Science from Ohio University, and a BS in Environmental Science from Wright State University.
