Swapan Shah

Swapan Shah is an experienced program and commercial manager with a strong background in engineering and project management. Currently serving as Program Manager at Itron, Inc., since July 2018, Swapan oversees pilot deployments in Distributed Intelligence, Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Home Area Networks, and Smart Street lighting using a wireless IPV6 mesh network for energy utilities. Previously, as Commercial Manager at GE Power from June 2014 to July 2018, Swapan led a proposals team to develop winning strategies for complex projects. Swapan's earlier roles at GE Digital Energy included Comms Engineering Leader, Project Engineer, and Field Engineer, where successes included managing a team to achieve significant cost efficiencies and designing a city-wide WiMAX network for Smart Grid Automation. Swapan holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan-Flint and advanced degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and Sinhgad College of Engineering, respectively.
