Sean McMenemy

Senior Artist at Incredible Technologies

Sean McMenemy has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries.

Starting in 1987, Sean worked as an Optical Photographer at Nicholson's Communications, Inc, where they utilized specialized camera equipment to create multi-layered images for multi-image shows and events. Sean then moved to WSIL-TV3 as a Commercial Producer/Director, where they pitched, wrote, directed, and edited commercials using broadcast ENG video gear, as well as created graphics using a Chyron Max graphics system.

In 1993, Sean joined Game Refuge as an Artist, where they used 3D modeling and animation software to create sprite-based art for Sega and PC games. Sean also created tileable art for background elements and sprite-based art with new and destroyed states.

From 1994 to 2009, Sean operated their own company, SEANFX, where they pitched and designed motion graphics, broadcast design, and visual effects based on client briefs. Sean used various software including Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Studio Max, and Animation Master to produce digital and hand-drawn storyboards, concept art, and animatics for pitches and client approvals.

In 1997, Sean worked as a 3D Artist at Viacom New Media, where they conceptualized and modeled characters and objects for sprite-based animations for kids games. Sean also animated a T-Rex for a kids game.

From 1997 to 1999, Sean was a 3D Artist/Animator at FASA Interactive, where they animated 3D human and Mech characters and created texture maps using various animation systems and software.

In 1999, Sean joined Inland Productions as a 3D Artist/Animator, where they modeled and animated 3D characters, objects, and environments using 3D Studio Max.

From 2001 to 2017, Sean worked at Incredible Technologies, starting as a Senior Artist and later becoming the Video Producer and Art Director/Lead Artist. In their roles, they designed and built 3D objects, environmental elements, and UI mechanics for amusement, gaming, and mobile platforms. Sean also pitched, designed, and created motion graphics for various marketing materials and produced 3-day live webstreams and recap shows for ESPN. Additionally, they managed and designed the creative process and all art assets for a limited edition video redemption game, resulting in the sale of 100% of the units produced.

From 2009 to 2011, Sean worked as a New Media Producer at Midwest Media Now, where they hosted and produced an audio podcast about new media creation in the Midwest. Sean interviewed content creators and utilized studio and location recording techniques to record content for shows.

Since 2014, Sean has been working at Colorbook4Nerdlings as a Creator/Designer, where they design original series of sci-fi themed coloring books and products for print and download. Sean creates rough sketches, cleans up drawings, and converts them into vector files using Adobe Illustrator. Sean also uses Adobe InDesign for book layout and design.

From 1989 to 1992, Sean McMenemy attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Photography.
