Gert Vanwijn

Gert Vanwijn has extensive work experience in the field of UX design and product management. Gert is currently working at itsmeDigitalID as a Product Manager, where they are responsible for conceptualizing new features, maintaining a design system, and ensuring a consistent branding and customer experience. Prior to this, Gert worked at Boar as a Co-owner and UX & Graphic Designer. Gert was also a UX Designer at Mediahuis nv and KBC Bank & Verzekering. At KBC Bank & Verzekering, they held various roles including UX Owner, UX App Owner, and UX Designer. Gert has also worked as a UX & Graphic Designer at AVIO and as a UX Designer - consultant at KBC Bank & Verzekering. Gert started their career as a User Experience Designer at Cognizant Technology Solutions and also worked as a Master's Thesis Student at KU Leuven.

Gert Vanwijn began their education journey in 2005 at Sint-Jozefscollege, Beringen, where they completed the 2de en 3de graad program in Wetenschappen-Wiskunde. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering - Computer Science at KU Leuven from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, they briefly attended Universidad Politécnica de Madrid to undertake a course in Introduction to financial evaluation of projects. Finally, they returned to KU Leuven to obtain their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering - Computer Science with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction from 2012 to 2014.
