Sylvie Vandevelde has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Sylvie began their career in 2000 as a Brand and Event Manager at Climax Entertainment Organization, where they managed marketing, PR, contract negotiations with hotels, and organized private parties and large-scale events. Sylvie then moved on to work as a Communication and Destination Manager at Continents Insolites from 2005 to 2011. Following that, they worked as an Account Manager at WarmRed sa/nv, where they handled various marketing and design projects for clients such as Delhaize, Toyota Motor Europe, and Vanden Borre. In 2013, Sylvie joined Van Piperzeel - Real Cinderella as an Account Director, leading plurimedia campaigns and focusing on maximum coverage. In 2016, they became an Account Manager at Accenture Song, specifically Kunstmaan. Sylvie joined itsme Digital ID in 2017 and held several roles, including Head of Marketing & Communication, Head of Business Development, Marketing, and Communication, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Brand Officer. Sylvie's most recent work includes promoting digital inclusivity and conducting an academic study on e-democracy and citizen engagement.

Sylvie Vandevelde has a diverse education history. Sylvie obtained a Bachelor's degree in Tourism from Haute Ecole Galilée, Bruxelles, from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they studied Tourism and Travel Services Management at Koninklijk Atheneum Etterbeek from 1994 to 1997. Further, they pursued Sport and Science at Koninklijk Atheneum Keerbergen from 1991 to 1994.

In terms of higher education, Sylvie attended Ichec Brussels Management School in 2009 and 2010, where they pursued International Management and obtained a D.E.S. degree. Sylvie also briefly attended Yellow Ideas in 2009 to study Creativity and Innovation.

In 2016, Sylvie enrolled at Vlerick Business School, specializing in Brand Management and Communication within the field of Communication, General.

Aside from their formal education, Sylvie Vandevelde has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2014, they earned an EAC Certificate from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). Additionally, they obtained a Digital Acceleration Master Class certification from Hyper Island in January 2018. More recently, in October 2022, they completed a Future Foresight certification from Hyper Island, and in November 2022, they obtained a certification in Meaningful Marketing from the Belgian Association of Marketing (BAM).
