Cheryl L. Shavers

Cheryl L. Shavers, Ph.D. serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Smarts, Inc. and has been an Independent Board of Director Member at Voyager Space since 2019. From 1999 to 2001, they held the position of Undersecretary of Commerce for Technology at the US Department of Commerce, overseeing multiple departments related to technology policy. Cheryl has also held various roles at Intel Corporation from 1987 to 1999, including Director of Emerging Technology. They earned a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry and an honorary Master’s of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management, both from Arizona State University and California Polytechnic State University, respectively.
