Niels Büngen

Niels Bal is a PhD candidate specializing in Disease Syndemics at VU Amsterdam since August 2020, focusing on the interaction of co-occurring diseases and their impact on health. Previously, Niels served as a Junior Lecturer in Epidemiology & Applied Biostatistics at Hogeschool van Amsterdam from October 2020 to August 2022 and held various teaching and research roles, including Lecturer Minor Health Sciences at MCNV and Research Intern at VU Amsterdam. Niels began academic pursuits with a Bachelor of Science in Oefentherapie-Mensendieck from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and subsequently earned a Master of Science in Health Sciences from VU Amsterdam.
