Lucy Tallents

Lucy Tallents is the founder and director of VerdantLearn, a position held since September 2018, focused on equitable conservation capacity building through innovative online learning and collaborative content creation. Lucy has been a member of the IUCN Commission on Education & Communication since November 2021 and previously served as a freelance conservation educator. Experience includes roles at WildCRU, University of Oxford, and various conservation programs where Lucy developed online courses, conducted workshops, and implemented monitoring systems for wildlife. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Conservation Biology from the University of Oxford and a Master’s in Ecology & Environmental Management from the University of York.
