John Drinkwater

John Drinkwater is an experienced professional in government affairs and workforce development, currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs for IUPAT District Council 35 since January 2023. Previously, John held the position of Lowell City Councilor At-Large from January 2020 to January 2024 and worked for the Massachusetts AFL-CIO for over 16 years in various roles including Senior Workforce Development Specialist and Legislative Director. John's educational background includes a Master's degree in Regional Economic & Social Development and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, along with an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Trade Union Program.
