Morgan Bye, PhD

Morgan Bye, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of data science, engineering, and artificial intelligence. They are currently serving as an Engineering Manager at IVADO Labs, where they provide AI-powered consultancy services and software solutions for supply chain solutions. Prior to this, Morgan held the role of Team Lead and Senior Data Engineer at IVADO Labs.

Before joining IVADO Labs, Morgan worked at Boeing as a Senior Data Engineer and Senior DevOps Engineer. They were responsible for the cloud migration of Big Data visualization web apps to a real-time data platform in the Google Cloud. Their responsibilities included cloud architecture, database administration, and test framework implementation. They also played a key role in team building and technology choices.

Earlier in their career, Morgan served as a Data Team Lead and Data Engineer at BC Cancer. During their tenure, they led a team of software developers and scientists, performing whole-genome cancer analyses and developing new pipelines. They were also involved in implementing agile work methodology, continuous deployment, and analysis tracking systems. Additionally, they contributed to the migration to property-based testing and quality assurance through machine learning-based clustering.

Morgan's work experience also includes being a Research Scientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.

Morgan Bye, PhD, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry with honors from the University of Nottingham in 2009. Following this, Morgan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysical Chemistry at the University of East Anglia from 2009 to 2013.
